Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 12, 2026
Nox ("the Extension") is a browser extension that applies dark or light themes to websites. This policy describes what data is collected and how it is used.
Data We Collect
- Theme preferences — Your per-site settings (mode, contrast, enabled state) are stored locally on your device using browser storage. This data never leaves your device.
- Dark mode cache — Detection results (whether a site is dark or light) are cached locally per hostname to improve performance. This data never leaves your device.
- Account information — If you choose to sign in with Google for a Pro subscription, your email address and name are stored in our authentication provider (Supabase) solely to manage your subscription. We do not use this information for any other purpose.
Data We Do Not Collect
- Browsing history or visited URLs
- Page content or website data
- Analytics, telemetry, or usage tracking
- Financial or payment information (payments are processed entirely by Stripe)
Third-Party Services
- Supabase — Authentication and account management for Pro users
- Stripe — Payment processing for Pro subscriptions (we never see or store your card details)
- Google OAuth — Sign-in authentication only
Data Storage
All theme settings are stored locally in your browser. Account data for Pro users is stored securely in Supabase's infrastructure. We do not sell, share, or transfer any user data to third parties.
Your Rights
You can delete all local data by uninstalling the extension. To delete your account and associated data, email us at the address below.
Changes
We may update this policy. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance.
